Facts about the Campaign
 

Cost estimates are 3.5 million dollars with time contingencies: $4 million.


Scope: 11,000 sq.ft: gym surface area 5850 sq.ft, (2) meeting rooms; (2) classrooms, storage, kitchen, bleacher seating, new west & south entryways.


Construction start to finish: (14) months


Diocesan approval from Capital Projects Commission: when diocesan norms are met of half cost (or close) in cash, project 90% pledged, parish ability to service existing debt by retiring pledges.


Lead time for architect to begin construction: (6) months

General committee membership: 31 parishioners


If entire project is not pledged to fit budget, we will revise plans and build a structure we are able to build with funds raised.


ALL of the funds generated are deposited into a dedicated account for the sole purpose of constructing the activity center. None of the funds will be used for anything other than this purpose. Our church renovation is complete and debt free.


None of the funds will be sent to the Archdiocese. All of the funds will remain in our dedicated Activity Center fund drive account.


All funds raised must be placed into an account under the umbrella of the parish name for insurance purposes, the charter of our parish, and the corporation sole of the Archdiocese of Chicago.


With reasonable notice to gather data, any member of the parish may inquire and receive a current figure of pledges and cash contributed to date. This information will also be published in the bulletin on a monthly basis.
